Who doesn’t love unicorns? The legendary creatures, with their magical and mystical powers, have intrigued humans ever since their earliest incarnation in ancient Greece. Even today, unicorns are all the rage and often pop up in text messages, memes or in fictional adaptations.
However, unicorns are now making waves in the world of cakes! There is nothing more magical than a unicorn cake and it is, without a doubt, the latest birthday cake trend.
LeDolci is home to these magnificent unicorn cakes, and this spring, we are hosting a class so you can learn how to make your very own unicorn cake. Chef Julie Montgomery, formerly of the Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts, will teach this class and help you bring the elusive magical unicorn to life.
In this brand new class, you will learn to properly mask a cake in buttercream, create a unicorn horn out of a dowel and fondant, paint using edible gold, create gumpaste ears and eyes and lastly pipe a “mane” using various piping techniques. Be prepared to wow your friends and family with your stunning creation.
The class will be held on Sunday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m, and can be booked online. At the end of the class, you will master the mystical unicorn and take home a stunning four inch cake.
We hope to see you at the class. You know you want to be here!
