LeDolci’s Buttercream Recipe

Cook sugar and egg white over a double boiler until 160F. Beat the meringue into hard peaks with whisk and let it cool down. Add in salt.
Add chucks of soft butter and vanilla extract with a paddle until is smooth. Add in your additional flavorings.

Vanilla Cake

yields 1 – 6” round cake

Method:

  1. Beat the butter and sugar. Cream until colour turns pale.
  2. Gradually add eggs one at a time. Scrape the bowl and make sure everything is combined.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients.
  5. Add alternating dry and wet ingredients in to the batter.
  6. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes at 325°F, or 25 to 30 mins for a 6” cake.
